Ylang Ylang can be helpful in cases of anxiety, stress and shock. It can alleviate rapid heartbeat and rapid breathing. Simply sniffing Ylang Ylang can lower blood pressure slightly, whilst adding it to a bath or massage oil greatly enhances the relaxation experience. Ylang Ylang has a soothing and balancing effect on skin, balancing sebum production if scalp/skin is over-dry or over-oily and stimulating luxurious hair growth when used on the scalp. Add about 3 drops to hair conditioner to balance oil production. Ylang Ylang is traditionally used in aromatherapy to temper depression, jealousy, anger and fear, whilst sharpening senses.
